June is Seniors' Month​ is a designated time to recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of older adults in Brampton. It's a month dedicated to honoring seniors and highlighting their valuable role in our community. During this month, older adults are invited to participate in events, activities, and initiatives to acknowledge seniors' positive impact on society and to promote well-being and inclusion.​

Free Drop-In Programs

In tandem with June is Recreation and Parks Month​, the Recreation Division is offering various programs and initiatives for Brampton seniors to take part in. View available programs and register below.

Seniors Month Kick-Off Event

Older adults are invited to join us for a special event to celebrate the Free 70+ Recreation Membership launch. Enjoy refreshments, remarks by Mayor Brown, and a free low-impact fitness class. Plus, complete verification and sign up for a free 70+ membership.

When: Tuesday, June 4, 2024

Where: Cassie Campbell Community Centre

Time: 11 am – 12:30 pm​​

​Seniors Expo and Springfrest Luncheon​

Adults aged 55+ are invited to a special event in honour of June is Seniors month. Visit the expo and learn about programs and services available to seniors in our community. Then join us for a social afternoon with a catered luncheon and entertainment provided by a DJ.

When: Friday, June 14, 2024

Where: Century Gardens Recreation Centre​

Expo : 10 am – 12 pm

Luncheon and Dance: 12 – 3 pm

Fees:

  • Resident Rate: $17.03
  • Non-Resident Rate: $22.14

All rates are subject to HST.

​​Free Recreation for Brampton Seniors

Starting June 1, seniors aged 70 and older in Brampton can enjoy free access to recreation programs and services. This includes a wide range of activities to help you stay active, socialize, and connect with your community. Community Outreach Booths​

Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre Memberships​

Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre memberships are available for purchase online or in-person at any Recreation Centre​. Purchase a membership to access programs, services and make connections in a social environment.

Summer Program Registration

View our exciting lineup of recreation programs tailored to older adults. From gentle yoga to water aerobics, there’s something for everyone!

Summer program registration for most general programs begins June 10 at 6 am. Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate program registration begins on June 24 at 6 am. Programs begin the week of July 2.​ To learn more visit, Register for Programs.
