Ski and Snowboard Admission

  • Personal equipment must be stored in the racks provided outside the chalet. We are not responsible for lost or stolen equipment.
  • Personal equipment must meet the following standards: snowboards must have a snowboard leash and full metal edge (no plastic snowboards), skis must have a ski brake.
  • Helmets are mandatory for all program participants.
  • Helmets are recommended in all areas.
  • Please adhere to the Alpine Responsibility Code that our Ski Patrol enforces.
  • Anyone wishing to be on skiable/snowboarding terrain, past the spectator area must have equipment and lift ticket on. Walking on the slopes is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • Pending conditions, our Kids Area will be open for parents/guardians who do not ski to watch their child(ren) on the beginner slope.

All registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are unsure of which level to register in, please contact our Programmer at 905.458.6555 ext. 63725.

After registration every participant must pick-up their lesson lift ticket and complete rental sizing.  All participants must have a parent/guardian with them to sign a rental waiver. Participants must be present to be properly sized for skis or snowboards. We do not recommend participants wait until their first day of lessons to pick-up lift tickets or to complete rental fittings as this may cause them to miss their first class and/or cause a delay for other participants.

2022/23 Rental sizing dates for registered ski and snowboard programs:
  • December 19 – 22: 4 - 8 pm
  • December 29 – 30: 4 - 8 pm
  • January 2, 4, 6: 4 - 8 pm
If you are unable to attend these dates, we recommend that you complete the required lift ticket pick-up and rental sizing during our regular operational hours before your first lesson.  Please bring your program registration and rental receipt with you.

We reserve the right to cancel or combine classes due to low registration numbers. Programs will not be cancelled or refunded due to inclement weather conditions.

If Mount Chinguacousy cancels a lesson we will do our best to compensate participants for lost program time. Makeup classes or compensation will not be available due to participant illness or personal commitments.

No refunds will be offered for Ski or Snowboard rentals after the third lesson of programs is completed.

Lesson lift tags must be worn during each program. Replacement tags are $6.55 each. A green or yellow dot will be placed on lift tags indicating if the participant can use the lift during practice time.

Your own ski or snowboard helmet is highly recommended. Helmets are available in our rental shop on a first come, first served basis, subject to proper sizing. Helmet rentals are included in program rental fees and ski or snowboard rental packages.

Children under ten (10) years of age must have a parent/guardian who is at least eighteen (18) years of age on site.
