Dance Programs FAQ

Non-recital dance programs run on a seasonal basis during winter, spring, summer and fall. These programs are more recreational in nature and do not include a year-end performance or costume.

Recital dance programs run in line with the “school year”, from September to May. These programs include a costume, professional photography (group and individual photos) and a year-end recital performance at the Rose Theatre.

Dancers are not required to wear specific dance wear. We recommend participants come dressed in comfortable athletic wear that they can freely move in. Participants are welcome to wear dance or gymnastics bodysuits if they would like, however it is not a requirement.

No, recital show tickets are purchased separately. Tickets will go on sale one month prior to the recital performance date.

If you would like to withdraw from a registered program, please see our Withdrawal or Refund Requests for more information on our policy.

Costumes are used for picture day and onstage at the recital performance only. Costumes are not meant for general class use. The dance instructors thoughtfully design dance costumes based on the dance theme and will be appropriate to the age of the dancers and type of dance.

All important dates will be communicated to dancers and parents at dance class. Picture day is typically scheduled in March. Recital rehearsals and performances are typically scheduled in May. Exact dates and times will be confirmed later in the dance season. There is no make-up day for missed pictures.

The full session dates listed include placeholders for picture day, rehearsals and recital performances. If you need further clarification on your dance program dates, please contact dance@brampton.ca
