Chris Gibson Recreation Centre is slated for a complete renovation and retrofit of the existing facility. A new development will include a multi-sport gymnasium with a FIBA court and retractable bleachers, dance and fitness rooms, and a fully accessible NHL sized ice rink. The interior will include the existing indoor pool along with renovations to multi-purpose rooms, auditorium, customer service desk, and a new entrance and vestibule. On the exterior, additional parking will be made available and site improvements will include landscaping and pedestrian walkways.
