The Nurturing Neighbourhoods Program is led by City of Brampton, Community Safety and Well-Being Office (CSWO). The Nurturing Neighbourhoods Program is an innovative way to engage Bramptonians and encourage community building. It provides residents with the opportunity to play an active role by sharing their feedback and experiences on a range of topics that matter most in their community.
Our vision is to foster an empowered and connected Brampton where everyone feels safe, has a sense of belonging, and have their needs met.
What is the goal of the Program?
The goal of the program is to meet the commitment from City Council, according to Brampton’s 2040 Vision, to complete a full audit of all neighbourhoods in the City of Brampton. The program now enters its 4th year and we are excited to be visiting fifteen (15) new neighbourhoods across the ten wards of the City. Through this program, we aim to build more relationships with Brampton residents and have meaningful conversations about the specific needs of neigbourhoods. To achieve this, we will gather feedback through conversations and interactions, connect residents with resources, and empower neighbourhood-level civic engagement.
