Riverwalk is an important initiative to revitalize downtown Brampton and unlock its economic and development potential. The initiative will provide long-term flood risk reduction along the Etobicoke Creek, while creating places for residents to access nature and enjoy public spaces.

Project Status
Riverwalk is a transformative project for the City of Brampton. As part of efforts to keep the community informed of the progress being made on the project, the City has to date engaged with interested parties in several ways including a neighbourhood direct mail campaign, installing site signage and updates to the project webpage. More communication activities are being planned for the coming months as work progresses. Construction of flood protection works is anticipated to begin in 2025 and be completed in 2028.
