Ontario Regulation 25/23 (which has replaced O.Reg. 507/18) is a regulation which requires public agencies, such as municipalities, to annually report their GHG emissions and to develop an energy conservation and demand management plan.
This Corporate Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan provides an overview of the City's current emissions and outlines a strategy to diminish its corporate contribution to GHG emissions. The goal is to achieve a reduction of 40-45% in emissions by 2030 (compared to a 2010 baseline) and ultimately attain net zero emissions by 2050.
