In memory of Former City Alderman Everett (Rett) Coates

Everett (Rett) Coates, former City of Brampton Alderman and long-time Brampton resident, passed away on August 5, 2024.

Coates served as a City Alderman from January 1977 to December 1980.

Everett (Rett) also served as a funeral director and was the owner of McKillop Coates Funeral Home.

When he retired, he worked as the shuttle driver for Frost GMC and enjoyed meeting new clients and old friends on his daily adventures around town. He loved his time at the cottage on Lake Eugenia and watching the Leafs in the winter and the Blue Jays in the summer.
