Discounted Monthly Pass for Brampton Senior Residents

​​​​​​​​​​​​Are you a frequent traveller? This is the pass for you!

Senior citizens, 65 years of age and older, who are res​idents of Brampton are entitled to unlimited travel on Brampton Transit during that calendar month with the $15 senior resident monthly pass.

Interested in getting the monthly pass?

Step 1: Get your Brampton Transit Senior Identification Card at Brampton Transit's Clark or Sandalwood facility, or City Hall.
Step 2: Purchase a $6 PRESTO ca​rd at any Brampton Transit terminal or facility.
Step 3: Purchase your monthly pass for $15. The monthly pass will be loaded onto your PRESTO card.​

All monthly passes go on sale two weeks prior to the start of the month.

Every time you board the bus you are required to show the Operator your senior ID card and tap your PRESTO card on the green PRESTO device. Then have a seat! You will be required to do this for every bus you board, even if they are part of the same trip.

No. The $15 senior resident monthly pass can only be used for travel within Brampton. You can travel outside of Brampton with the pass if your trip starts in Brampton. When you tap your PRESTO card onto a Brampton Transit bus, you will have a two-hour transfer window. When you need to return, you will be required to pay an adult fare on the supporting transit service providers.

If you travel outside of Brampton frequently, you may require two PRESTO cards to take advantage of the best savings. 1. One card will have your Brampton Transit discounted senior resident monthly pass loaded onto it to use for all trips originating in Brampton. 2. The second card will have a card balance amount to use when you are travelling back to Brampton from a surrounding transit service provider. You can have this card set to a senior fare category to receive the reduced fare.

Yes. You can continue to take advantage of the Brampton senior $1 cash fare. Beginning September 1, 2019, this fare will also be available on PRESTO. You can load a dollar amount onto a PRESTO card and never have to worry about having a loonie available for your trip.
