​BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is seeking evaluation members and project submissions for the 2025 Brampton Urban Design Awards (BUDA), a biennial program that celebrates excellence in urban design and recognizes meaningful contributions to Brampton’s built environment.

This year’s theme, ‘Density with Purpose’, highlights intentional and future-focused urban growth that prioritizes livability and long-term sustainability.

Call for jury members

The City is inviting professionals in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, planning and related fields to apply for the BUDA 2025 jury panel. Jury members will evaluate submissions based on established criteria and participate in an in-person site visit to shortlisted projects. Applications are open from March 31 to May 12, 2025.

Call for submissions

City-builders, urban designers, architects, landscape architects, artists and students, are invited to submit projects that showcase innovation, creativity and design excellence. Submissions open April 14, 2025, and close June 9, 2025. 

New this year, submissions will be accepted through a digital submission and payment platform created for the 2025 awards and future program cycles. Student entries are free.

All eligible projects will be entered into the People’s Choice Award, where residents can vote for their favourite project from June 30 to August 11, 2025.

Winners will be announced at the 2025 Brampton Urban Design Awards Ceremony in October.
