​​​​BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is rolling out a new gateless parking system across all City-owned parking garages in the downtown area, enhancing security and modernizing services for residents and visitors. As a part of this initiative, the City is also reinstating paid parking at these garages, effective March 3, 2025.

The new garage entry system offers innovative technology that improves efficiency, eliminates congestion at entry points and enhances security monitoring. The new system maintains affordable rates and offers benefits including:
  • The first two hours of parking are free for all users.
  • Competitive, low rates of one dollar per half-hour, with a daily maximum of nine dollars.
Parking remains available between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. Free parking is also available on weekends and holidays.

Downtown Brampton has several parking garages, offering hundreds of spaces, including accessible parking, electric vehicle charging stations and bike racks. They are located at:
  • John Street Parking Garage (16 John St.)
  • West Tower Parking Garage (41 George St. S.)
  • City Hall Parking Garage (2 Wellington St. W.)
  • Market Square Parking Garage (1 Theatre Ln.)
  • Nelson Square Parking Garage (2 Diplock Ln.)
