BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is gearing up for an exciting 2025 spring recreation session! From fitness and sports to arts and wellness, there is something for everyone. With 34, 500 participants last spring, and with a city-wide increase in recreation programming by five per cent through the 2025 Budget, Brampton is ready to welcome even more residents to explore, connect and get active this spring.
Key dates
- All spring programs, including Brampton Sports League, are viewable as of Monday, February 17 at 12 am.
- Resident registration for most spring programs, including Sports, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Brampton Sports League, starts on Monday, March 3 at 6 am.
- Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate programs resident registration is on Monday, March 17 at 6 am.
- Registration for most programs ends on Monday, April 29, 2025.
Program highlights for the 2025 spring session
New Adult 55+ art programs
Discover your creative side this spring with new Adult 55+ drop-in and registered programs. Highlights include a new special Paint Nite event, an opportunity to brush up on your language skills with Conversational French classes and a chance to explore your artistic talents in Art Skills Level 1 and Acrylic Painting classes.
Stay active and engaged at Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre and try a new drop-in program including wood-working, wood-burning and wood-carving, women’s fitness, Pilates and Nordic walking.
Brampton Sports League
Brampton
Sports League is an opportunity for individuals aged 18 and older of all skill levels to play recreational sports in a social and supportive environment. This season offers:
- ball hockey
- dodgeball
- ultimate frisbee
- volleyball

Register for March break camps
From Monday, March 10 to Friday, March 14, 2025, the City of Brampton will offer camps during March Break, adding to the fun activities the city has to offer. Residents from ages 4 to 13 years old and of all abilities can explore a variety of programming, including sports, cooking and science camps. Before and After Care is also available. Drop-in program timeline change
Starting on March 24, the registration timelines for drop-in programs will be updated. Residents and members will now be able to register 25 hours in advance for all drop-in programs, while general (non-residents) can register one hour in advance. This change aims to simplify the registration process and is part of a broader effort to improve customer experience and access to programs. Now hiring: Brampton’s Parks and Recreation team
The City of Brampton is hiring for part-time positions in Parks and Recreation for the 2025 summer season. Join us for the 2025 Parks and Recreation Summer Job Information Fair. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the available positions, including camp leaders, inclusion instructors and outdoor aquatics positions and are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume on a USB key to complete their application on the spot. Recreation program registration resources
Online registration
To help ensure a seamless online registration process, residents are asked to:
- Make sure you can log in to your online account in advance.
- Check your personal information on your account to ensure accuracy.
- Browse programs in advance of registration day and make a shortlist.
- Add your credit card information to your account in advance. We can no longer accept financial information over the phone or via email.
- Use the date range filter and select the next session date to browse available courses.
- Do not refresh the page while payment is being processed.
- The Google Chrome browser provides the best user experience.
Patrons will be added to a virtual waiting room on the day of registration to ensure a fair and equitable process and help improve the online registration experience.
In-person registration
Patrons can visit a recreation centre to register for programs.
Financial assistance for residents
ActiveAssist, generously sponsored by 407 ETR and Capital Power, is a fee subsidy program offered by the City of Brampton, designed to help low-income individuals and families in Brampton participate in recreation programs. This program is available for Brampton families who qualify. Approved applicants each receive a $275 credit, which can be used toward a wide variety of drop-in
and registered, memberships and services. Each eligible ActiveAssist participant is enrolled for a two-year period. For more information about ActiveAssist, brampton.ca/activeassist.
