​​BRAMPTON, ON— The City of Brampton is commissioning a new mural to celebrate its milestone 50th birthday since incorporation and has developed a short list of five potential designs, following a call inviting professional artists and artist-led teams to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). 

Residents are invited to share feedback and choose their favourite design for the commemorative mural at The Rose. The five artists behind the potential mural designs are: 

• Angela Aujla 
• Dan Bergeron + Gabriel Specter 
• Jerry Rug (Birdo) 
• Keerat Kaur 
• One Day Creates 
  

As a part of the City’s commitment to transforming community spaces, public art invites residents and visitors to experience artistic excellence throughout the city. Through its Public Art Strategy, Brampton: An Artful Future​, the mural will serve as a tribute to the City's journey over the past five decades and its promising future. Located at The Rose, it will provide residents and visitors alike with an inspiring reminder of Brampton's cultural vibrancy and artistic talent. Brampton’s 50th birthday mural will be installed in fall 2024 and will add to the City’s more than 50 public art installations. The final design will be announced late summer.
