The City of Brampton is proud to announce the launch of its first Public Art Strategy. Entitled Brampton: An Artful Future, this five-year plan aims to establish a cohesive and deliberate approach to the development and administration of the City of Brampton's Public Art Program. The strategy and framework are designed to enhance public spaces to be more inviting and inclusive, while honoring the unique character of Brampton.
Recognized as a crucial component in fostering a vibrant, prosperous, and inclusive city, Brampton's public art collection boasts over 50 murals, permanent and temporary art installations, and civic memorials and monuments. The City is committed to continually showcasing talented local artists from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Last year, the City collaborated with local artists to deliver 34 new public artworks.

The new strategy supports the professionalization of Brampton's creative community through various public art projects such as the My Neighbourhood Art Project, Brampton BOXED Art Program, Public Art Along the Paths and Trails Program, and Professional Development Programming. These initiatives offer opportunities for residencies, mentorships, training programs, and more.
