​BRAMPTON, ON - Brampton's Council Chambers has been modernized to improve its layout and comfort, enhance accessibility, meet current building code standards, and install new audio-visual equipment.

The new and improved Council Chambers reopened for the Council meeting on March 6.

Details of the renovations include:

• Improving the seating arrangement for Councillors and staff, and providing space for future growth
• Upgrading and increasing public auditorium seating with more comfortable, theatre-style seats
• Upgrading the audio-visual equipment to improve the City's capability to live stream meetings
• Creating a new accessible entrance ramp and adding accessible seating

Council Chambers is located on the fourth floor of City Hall, at 2 Wellington Street West.
