The City of Brampton, in collaboration with community partners, is pursuing added supports to address the exploitation and trafficking of international students. Mayor Patrick Brown, Regional Councillor Rowena Santos, Chair of Community Services, Gurpreet Malhotra, CEO of Indus Community Services, along with representatives from Our Place Peel and Peel Regional Police, will provide key updates on actions Brampton and the broader community are advocating for to tackle these critical issues.
Members of the media are invited to attend and hear remarks from Mayor Brown, Councillor Santos Chair, Community Services and Gurpreet Malhotra of Indus Community Services.
The press conference will provide an opportunity to ask questions and capture footage of the event.
