On the evening of Thursday, August 1, Mayor Patrick Brown and British Consul General Ms. Fouzia Younis will host ‘An Evening to Celebrate Cricket’ reception to celebrate the GT20 Tournament and mark the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between The Lord’s Taverners and the City of Brampton.
The Lord’s Taverners, the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sport charity, will donate cricket equipment to the City of Brampton to further efforts towards youth cricket in Brampton.
Canadian-Jamaican cricketer of the Brampton Wolves, Aaron Johnson, will be attending the photo op in his team uniform. Members of the media are invited to capture footage of the event and speak with Mayor Patrick Brown, British Consul General Ms. Fouzia Younis, Becky Howie from The Lord’s Taverners, Aaron Johnson and a representative from GT20 Canada.
