City of Brampton’s Mayor Patrick Brown and City Councillors are announcing plans to expand local sports infrastructure with the proposed development of a dedicated kabaddi stadium. Recognizing this traditional sport holds significant cultural importance within the community, this event will highlight the City’s commitment to supporting and promoting it. 

Members of the media will have an opportunity to hear remarks from Mayor Brown, Deputy Mayor, Harkirat Singh and Regional Councillors Gurpartap Singh Toor and Rowena Santos, and capture footage of the event.

Set out in the City’s Brampton’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which strategizes the delivery of parks, recreation facilities, programs, and services to the community through 2036, the new kabaddi stadium will serve as a dedicated space for the sport in Brampton.
