The City of Brampton is in the process of converting its portion of the Orangeville-Brampton Railway Corridor, which is over 14 km, into a recreational trail!

The future recreational trail will connect the City of Brampton to the City of Mississauga, Town of Caledon, Town of Orangeville and beyond! The recreational trail will link Brampton neighbourhoods together through active transportation, programmed amenities, and landscaping. Transforming the current rail corridor will foster a mosaic of vibrant and sustainable urban spaces that prioritize physical and mental well-being for residents.

To complete this multi-year project, the City is collaborating with the Region of Peel, neighbouring municipalities, and the conservation authorities to develop a united 'Rail to Trail.'
