Finch Avenue Paving Detours

Affected Routes

11/11A Steeles

Details

​Effective Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 6:30am until Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 6:00pm, Region of Peel paving operations will be taking place on Finch Avenue between Steeles Avenue and Highway 427.​

Bus Stop Changes:

    • ​​Route 5 passengers on Kenview Drive will be redirected to board buses at existing stops on Goreway Drive, south of Steeles Avenue​
    • Route 5 passengers on Darcel Avenue will be redirected to board buses at Westwood Terminal
    • Route 11/11A passengers on Kenview Drive will be redirected to board buses at existing stops on Steeles Avenue at Goreway Drive

Detours:

Route 5 Bovaird Eastbound/Southbound

  • Regular routing to Goreway Drive and Steeles Avenue
  • Continue on Goreway Drive
  • Cross Kenview Boulevard
  • Cross Brandon Gate Drive
  • Turn left on Morningstar Drive
  • Right into Westwood Mall Bus Terminal at traffic lights
  • Clockwise direction
  • First stop on the south side, facing west
  • Westwood Mall, first bus stop on the south side, facing west

Route 5 Bovaird Northbound/Westbound

  • Westwood Mall, first bus stop on the south side, facing west
  • Exit terminal
  • Turn left on Morningstar Drive
  • Turn right on Goreway Drive
  • Cross Brandon Gate Drive
  • Cross Kenview Boulevard
  • Resume regular routing

Route 11/11A Steeles Eastbound

  • Regular routing to Steeles Avenue and Goreway Drive
  • Continue on Steeles Avenue 
  • Cross Goreway Drive
  • Cross Paget Road
  • Cross Castleview Drive
  • Cross Finch Avenue
  • Continue regular routing

 Route 11/11A Steeles Westbound

Mount Pleasant GO Station Platform Closure

Details

Effective  Saturday, September 13, 2025, Platform #11 at the Mount Pleasant GO Station Terminal will be temporarily closed for approximately 5 weeks due to concrete repairs to the bus bay.  

Detours:

505 Züm Bovaird and 5/5A Bovaird Westbound

  • ​​Regular routing to entrance of Mount Pleasant GO Station Terminal
  • Drop off passengers at Platform # 5, 6, 7, or 8
  • Loop through terminal and take any layovers at designated lanes in the middle of bus loop
  • Loop through terminal again and service temporary stop at the west end of the terminal (beside Platform #12

Queen Street Between Main Street and Chapel Street Detour

Details

Effective Wednesday, August 13, 2025, until further notice, due to the construction work on Queen Street between Main Street and Chapel Street and south platform at the Downtown Terminal, Routes 24 Van Kirk and 25 Edenbrook will be on detour.

  • Regular routing to Main Street at Nelson Street
  • Right onto Nelson Street

Temporary stop changes due to underground parking construction at 8 Nelson Street West

Details

Effective Wednesday, August 13, 2025 until further notice, due to critical repairs at the 8 Nelson Parking Garage, the Downtown Transit Terminal South Pla​tform will be closed during Phase 1 of construction. The following Brampton Transit route stops will be relocated to temporary on-street bus stops for: ​

1. Route 501 Züm Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, south of Nelson Street 
2. Route 1/1A Queen Eastbound - Temporary Stop on George Street, north of Nelson Street

During this time, the north platform will remain open for buses and riders. Signage will be posted to help riders navigate temporary stop locations.

As this work is being completed in a phased approach, additional closures may occur.​

Dixie Road at Williams Parkway Closures

18 Dixie
29/29A Williams

Details

Effective: Wednesday, January 08, 2025 until December 31, 2025

There will be construction work at Dixie Road and Williams Parkway for approximately one (1) year. As a result, the westbound and eastbound lanes on Williams Parkway will be reduced to a single lane. The northbound and southbound lanes on Dixie Road will be reduced to a single lane.

Routes 18 Dixie and 29/29A Williams will expect some delays.

Bus Stop Changes:
  • Williams Parkway East west of Dixie Road will be temporarily relocated to Route 29/29A Williams – stop #3143
    • Passengers to board Route 29/29A Williams buses at the temporary bus stop on Williams Parkway East of Dixie Road (Near-side of the intersection).
  • Dixie Road south of Williams Parkway East will be temporarily closed to Route 18 Dixie – stop #2649
    • Passengers to board Route 18 Dixie buses at the next existing bus stop on Dixie Road at Lascelles Boulevard – stop #2650
