About the Hazel McCallion Line
(formerly known as the Hurontario LRT)
The
Hazel McCallion Line (HML) will bring 18 kilometres of fast, reliable, rapid transit along the Hurontario corridor between the Brampton Gateway Terminal at Steeles Avenue in Brampton and the Port Credit GO Station in Mississauga.
It will feature 19 stops including four major transit hubs, travel through two urban growth centres, and will connect to other major transit systems including GO Transit (Milton and Lakeshore West lines), Brampton Transit, the Mississauga Transitway, Züm, MiWay and future rapid transit projects.
It will form part of a
seamless integrated regional transportation network that will connect Brampton with the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). It is a city-building and region-connecting project that will transform
Hurontario Street into a vibrant people-oriented corridor connecting communities and accommodating growth anticipated over the next 30 years.
What's happening within Brampton?
- Three (3) LRT stops, including Ray Lawson, County Court and Brampton Gateway Terminal.
- The Operations, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) will be located within Brampton, on Kennedy Road south of Highway 407 ETR.
