Project Overview
As part of the City’s watercourse erosion program, the City has engaged the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to implement erosion control and slope stabilization work within Centennial Park, along Etobicoke Creek. The project will address ongoing erosion concerns in the area highlighted on the map by constructing bank remediation measures that will stabilize the channel slope and prevent further encroachment on the Etobicoke Creek Recreational Trail.
Construction access from the Mary Street park entrance may result in minor traffic delays and temporary closures for the duration of the project.
Project Timeline
Construction will begin in winter 2024 and will be completed by spring 2025.
