Camp Admission

Participants can register for camp here. To register, you must have a Brampton Recreation account. To set up an account, please call 311.

There is a weekly fee of $140 - $425 for residents depending on the type of camp. A non-resident fee is applicable.

Registration will be available until 6 am on Mondays for all general camps. The registration deadline for trip camps is 12 pm the Friday prior.

Remember to prepare campers for camp with the following motto: SLIP, SLAP, SLOP! Slip on a shirt, slap on a hat and slop on the sunscreen. Campers should bring sunscreen (SPF 30) and a hat to camp every day.

Campers are required to bring their own water bottle, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Please pack items that do not require refrigeration. Please avoid any products containing nuts.

Our camp staff are trained in Standard First Aid/CPR C, skilled in camp activities, attend extensive pre-camp training, and are chosen based on their leadership skills, enthusiasm, and creativity.

Please make sure staff is aware if your camper has any allergies or requires medication. It is strongly recommended that campers take medication at home under the supervision of a parent/guardian.

Campers requiring medication (e.g. EpiPen, asthma inhalers, insulin) during camp program hours must complete a personal Information Record Form during registration. All campers with medication are required to bring in a current photo identifying themselves for their PIR record.

Medication is only accepted in daily doses. Please ensure that all medication is stored in its original container. Campers carrying an EpiPen, or inhaler are to carry their medication  in a fanny pack and an additional EpiPen or inhaler must be provided to camp staff. Staff is not responsible for lost or damaged medication.

To ensure comfort and protection, please:
  • Do not send campers in open toed shoes
  • Label all towels, bags and clothing with the camper’s name
  • Ensure campers wear comfortable, outdoor weather-appropriate clothing
  • Note that sunscreen and hats are mandatory
  • Remember that staff  and the City are not responsible for lost or stolen items brought to camp

All camps continue to operate during inclement weather. Please dress campers accordingly.

Before and after care is available for City of Brampton campers. Extended hours are from 7:30 to 9 am and 4 - 6 pm. A separate registration and fee applies. Please visit here for listings.

New participants to any of the programs designed for living individuals with disabilities will be contacted by phone or email to set up a pre-camp visit with one of our staff to fully assess your child’s needs to ensure a successful camp experience.

Please contact the Program Supervisor at 905.874.2295 or email at inclusionprograms@brmapton.ca with any additional questions.

All programs for individuals with disabilities work with staffing ratios of two-to-one (2:1) in camps for campers 4 to 13 years old. In camps for campers 14+ there is a ratio ofthree-to-one (3:1).

Services for individuals with needs that require one-to-one (1:1) supervision are available and can be arranged through the Recreation Department for an additional fee. Individuals requiring this service should identify their requirement for one-to-one (1:1) support and pay the applicable surcharge at the time of registration.

Please note: Participants will require one-to-one (1:1) support to participate in programs throughout the summer if he/she:
  • Requires additional support at school, in the home, or in the community with basic needs such as dressing, toileting or feeding;
  • Has a tendency to exhibit aggressive behaviours;
