About the Affiliated Neighbourhood Association Program

An Affiliated Neighbourhood Association is a volunteer group of residents from the same neighbourhood who work together to identify ways to improve their community with positive changes. Affiliated Neighbourhood Associations will be connected to a CSWO team member who can provide support and advice.

  • 52 neighbourhood projects were completed with participation from more than 6,000 residents.
  • 97 per cent of these associations reported that their projects led to an increased sense of belonging in their communities.
  • One neighbourhood association used their grant funding to plan a community food drive collecting nearly 1,500 pounds of food and donating it to Knights Table in Brampton.
