BRAMPTON, ON— During the upcoming holiday season, Brampton City Hall will be closed to the public from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at noon, reopening on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 8:30 am.

Essential and Critical Services
All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, Enforcement and By-law Services, Road Operations and Security Services, will continue to operate as usual.
Brampton Transit
Brampton Transit will be running on a Holiday Service schedule from Monday, December 23, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025. Reduced weekday service will be in effect, with School Special Service, Secondary School extra trips and Route 199 UTM Express, cancelled. Regular service resumes on Monday, January 6, 2025. Ride free on Brampton Transit this New Year’s Eve after 7 pm with extended service offered.

Brampton Parks

Brampton Recreation
Select recreation centres will be open with modified hours of operation from December 24 to January 1, 2025. Recreation centres will resume normal hours of operation on January 2, 2025. A listing of open centres and holiday hours can be viewed here. Registered programs such as swimming and skating lessons are not scheduled during the holidays.
Winter 2025 Program Registration
Registration for Winter 2025 programs is now open. Visit brampton.ca/registerforprograms to browse offerings and reserve a spot. Winter 2025 registered programs will begin the week of January 6, 2025.

Free winter break indoor skating presented by Capital Power
This winter break from December 21 through January 5, Brampton residents can enjoy free indoor skating at select arenas across the city. Whether you are a novice skater or seasoned on the ice, this family-friendly activity offers a fun way to stay active and enjoy time together, no matter the weather. Thanks to the generous support of Capital Power, skaters of all ages can lace up and glide across the rink at no cost, making it easier for the community to enjoy this activity. Winter break day camps
Register for one of Brampton’s winter holiday break day camps. Residents from ages 4 to 13 years old can explore a variety of programming, including sports, cooking and science camps. Brampton On Stage
The Brampton On Stage Box Office, located at The Rose (1 Theatre Lane), will be closed on December 25, 2024, and January 1, 2025. Tickets for shows and events may be purchased online at bramptononstage.ca. Visits from Santa at The Rose and exciting shows continue throughout the holidays. Fireworks Safety
The safety of residents is the City’s top priority. Under the Fireworks By-law, the use, purchase, discharge, possession, display, sale and offering of fireworks is prohibited, except for City-led events such as Brampton’s New Year’s Eve celebration. Sparklers are permitted. Penalties for failing to comply range from $500 to $1,000 and may reach up to $100,000 if a court summons is issued.
