BRAMPTON, ON – As Brampton continues to grow and evolve, the City is undertaking a comprehensive review of its zoning regulations and urban design guidelines. To address the needs of a rapidly growing city, Brampton Plan – our new Official Plan – guides this transition towards more compact, complete communities where residents can meet their daily needs within a 15-minute walk or utilizing modes of micromobility.
The City of Brampton is modernizing its Comprehensive Zoning By-law and Urban Design Guidelines to ensure development standards are clear, efficient and equitable for all. These updates align with the City’s Housing Accelerator Fund Agreement aiming to streamline development approvals, increase housing options and support economic development while balancing land use context and compatibility.
The City invites residents to participate in its second in-person public open house to gather feedback on the proposed changes.
