Brampton City Hall will be closed on Monday, July 3 in observance of Canada Day.  

All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services will continue to operate as usual to support the community.

Celebrate Canada Day 2023
Residents and visitors are invited to the City of Brampton’s Canada Day Celebration on July 1 from 12 to 10 pm in Chinguacousy Park. Brampton’s Canada Day celebration is the City’s largest single day event, celebrating the occasion with a day of live entertainment, arts, culture, food, fireworks and more!

Event Parking Reminder
Limited parking is available on-site at a rate of $20 per vehicle, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Debit and Credit only, no cash will be accepted.

Vehicles parked in prohibited areas will be tagged and towed.

Fireworks Safety
The safety of residents is the City’s top priority. Under the new fireworks by-law, fireworks are no longer permitted in Brampton, except for at City-led events. 

Brampton Transit
Brampton Transit will be operating on a Saturday schedule on Saturday, July 1.Customer Service counters at the terminals are closed. The Contact Centre is available to assist from 7 am to 7 pm.

On Monday July 3, Brampton Transit will be operating on a Sunday/ Holiday Schedule. Customer Service counters at the terminals are open. The Contact Centre is available to assist from 7am- 9pm at 905.874.2999. Brampton Transit Clark and Sandalwood Facilities, including Lost and Found, will be
closed on Monday, July 3.

Brampton Transit will be providing free shuttle bus services to and from the Canada Day celebration at Chinguacousy Park on July 1 between 12 to 10:30 pm! Shuttles operate every 30 minutes. Hop on a free shuttle bus from one of the following four locations:
Mount Pleasant GO Station
Trinity Common Mall
Sheridan College
Gore Meadows Community Centre

All Brampton recreational trails, playgrounds, and parks, including off-leash dog parks, remain open on Canada Day. Visit www.brampton.ca/parks to discover our parks and recreational trails.

Brampton Recreation
Select Brampton Recreation Centres will be open with modified hours of operation on Canada Day. Holiday hours can be viewed here.

Brampton Library
All Brampton Library branches will be closed on Saturday July 1 and Monday, July 3.

Brampton Animal Services
The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on Canada Day. Animal Control will be on the road from 8 am to 6:30 pm and will continue to respond to emergency calls outside of these hours.
