BRAMPTON, ON (August 18, 2020) – Today, Brampton Regional Councillor Paul Vicente was elected to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors as a member of the Regional and Single Tier Caucus for the 2020-2022 board term.
 
AMO represents the interests of Ontario municipalities on policy and program matters that fall within provincial jurisdiction. AMO’s Board of Directors is comprised of 29 elected municipal officials and affiliate members representing various groupings of Ontario municipalities.
 
AMO’s 2020 strategic objectives are based on: constructive, proactive municipal influence with the Ontario government; collaboration within sectors to build influence; supporting member advocacy with information, analysis, facts and key messages; and providing education and programs that support municipal governments.
