“Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week is an important week for Brampton Fire and Emergency Services to educate the community on the dangers of carbon monoxide and what they can do to protect themselves. Every home with fuel-burning appliances and/or an attached garage requires a working carbon monoxide alarm beside all sleeping areas. I want to remind everyone to test carbon monoxide alarms monthly and replace batteries at least once a year. In addition, families should have a home escape plan and practice it twice a year.”
