Metrolinx developed a stage-gate process to guide decision making for evaluating major transit investments. From project inception to the start of construction, stage gates- also known as “decision gates”- are applies at major milestones identified below.

The study ​area is centred on the Queen Street-Highway 7 corridor between Mississauga Road in Brampton in the west to Helen Street the City of Vaughan in the east connecting with the Highway 7 Rapidway
