A road widening was initially planned for Williams Parkway, but the City revisited this project from November 2019 to November 2020, with opportunities for additional public engagement. The project scope now consists of road resurfacing, enhanced streetscaping, and potential multi-use paths.​​

​Light Rail Transit connecting Brampton and Mississauga will be available on Hurontario Street by 2024. To make room for the construction, road medians are currently being removed on Hurontario Street from Bartley Bull Parkway to Derrycrest Drive in Mississuaga.

​To keep City streets in good condition, a selection of roads are resurfaced each year in the Spring and Summer. Streets being repaved as part of the Road Resurfacing Program are usually completed within five to six weeks of the initial start date.
