Skate aids may be permitted at outdoor ice rinks based on spacing constraints, on-ice participation numbers and staff discretion. Participants using skate aids are required to provide and use their own CSA approved hockey helmet with full facemask. Skate aids may be provided by the City of Brampton, however, will only be available when skate staff are present.
Participants may bring their own professionally manufactured skate aid provided that the device does not damage the ice surface, have sharp edges, and/or pose a hazard. Participants using personal skate aids are required to provide their own CSA approved hockey helmet with full face mask. Homemade teaching aids are prohibited. Please note that the patrons are responsible for the safety and security of their own equipment.
