Brampton Recreation offers Skiing and Snowboarding instruction for children and adults from ages 3 and up. Participants progress through various levels. Programs should be chosen based on ability level at the start of the season. Participants must be program age at start of lesson.


Snow Tubing FAQ

We recommend wearing warm layers for the most enjoyable outdoor experience. Consider a waterproof winter jacket and snow pants with layers of comfortable athletic clothing underneath and warm socks. Mittens or gloves, a ski or snowboard helmet and goggles are recommended. Please note: clothing and accessories are not available for rent.

Yes, snow tubes are provided. Toboggans and tubes brought from home are not permitted. Helmets are not mandatory to snow tube, however we recommend that all participants wear a helmet.​ Helmet rentals are available at the Pro Shop at the Chinguacousy Park Ski Chalet.

Yes, helmets are available for rent at the Pro Shop at the Chinguacousy Park Ski Chalet. Equipment rentals require a phone number, valid government issued photo ID and a completed rental waiver agreement.​

All lift tickets and rentals are non-refundable.​

​Snow tubing tickets can be purchased in advance during operational hours at the Chinguacousy Park Ski Chalet​

The minimum height requirement to participate in snow tubing is 42" inches, the maximum weight is 250 lbs.​

Ski & Snowboard FAQ

Yes, ski and snowboard equipment is available for rent. Rentals require a phone number, valid government issued photo ID and a completed rental waiver agreement. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian assist with the rental process. ​

Yes, the rental shop is equipped to provide tuning services at an additional cost. Keeping equipment waxed and sharpened will extend the life, provide better performance and help improve skills. The rental shop also sells a selection of goggles, ski locks, snowboard leashes, socks, stomp pads and snowboard binding parts.​

Personal ski and snowboard equipment must be stored in the provided racks outside the chalet as equipment is not permitted inside. Universal ski locks are highly recommended and available to purchase in the rental shop. ​Personal belonging storage is not available. Please leave personal belongings in your vehicle as we are not responsible for lost or stolen equipment/belongings.

Lessons FAQ

To ensure participant success within the program, we highly suggest taking a private lesson before resuming program lessons. ​

Make-up classes, compensation or rescheduling will not be available due to participant illness, weather or personal emergency. To ensure participant success within the program, we highly suggest taking a private lesson before resuming program lessons. ​

Late registrations are assessed on a case by case basis. Participants must meet the minimum ability level to safely join lessons. Please contact our Recreation Programmer to discuss options at 905-458-6555 ext 63725.​

Lessons include one hour of instruction and one hour of practice time on their own. Practice time is scheduled after the instructional portion has concluded. ​

Yes, a parent or guardian must be easily accessible for the entire duration of the program onsite.

A withdrawal request must be received prior to the third class. A pro-rated fee will ​be applied, based on number of classes passed, as either a credit on account or refunded to original payment method. For more information on our withdrawal policy, please click here​.

Yes, programs will run in all weather conditions including while it is snowing, rain, sleet and wind. Our priority is participant safety while delivering quality lessons. If lessons are cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, participants will be notified and alternate arrangements will be made for lost program time at the end of the session.​
