Budget 2018 - 2020 Highlights
At a Special Council Meeting held December 6, 2017, Brampton City Council approved a budget that will result in an overall property tax increase of 2.7 per cent in 2018.
The impact of this budget on property tax in 2018 translates into an annual increase of approximately $126 for an average residential home assessed at $471,000.
Some highlights from the proposed budget: supporting transit growth, strengthening fire response, keeping recreational opportunities up to date, investing in a new university and reimagining downtown public spaces.
