Permission to Park 

The City of Brampton does not offer permit parking on City streets. The City will permit people to park vehicles on the street, if a resident has visitors or a resident’s driveway is being repaired. You can request permission by filling out the form. You must complete all fields.

The City of Brampton lets residents park on City streets for as long as 14 days each calendar year, per vehicle licence plate, for only the two following violations:

• between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.; and
• longer than three hours - if they apply for and receive a consideration

ATTENTION: LARGE MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERS

The City strictly prohibits you from parking a large motor vehicle (a vehicle taller than 2.3 metres (7.5 feet) or heavier than 2,500 kilograms (2.75 tons) on streets in Brampton. If you applied online and received an exemption or consideration to allow you to park on the street for a vehicle larger or heavier than this, your exemption or consideration will not be in effect. a parking enforcement officer will ticket your vehicle.

Remember that a parking exemption will not prevent you from getting a ticket if your parked vehicle obstructs snow clearing or road maintenance operations or any other violation except the two timed offences for 3-hour or 2 am – 6 am.
