BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton, in partnership with the Vietnam Veterans Association of Ontario, invites residents to commemorate Journey to Freedom Day and celebrate the many contributions Vietnamese Canadians continue to make in Brampton. The day recognizes the exodus of Vietnamese refugees and their acceptance in Canada after the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War.
Residents are invited to attend the community flag raising and enjoy an afternoon of traditional Vietnamese performance and cuisine.
